Department of Statistical Anomalies, better known by its acronym D.O.S.A. is a government black ops task force tasked with tracking magic. D.O.S.A. has been active for several months tracking unexplained phenomena and has noticed that the Librarians seem to be connected to all of them.
D.O.S.A. sent the Library information about the Opal of Samara so that Flynn and Eve would meet. This led to Eve Baird becoming the Guardian and an unwitting sleeper agent for D.O.S.A..
After the episode And the Wrath of Chaos D.O.S.A. started to work closely with the Library and offers their resources to help the librarians contain artifacts and magical threats.
