Real Life Counterpart[]
According to the Bible, a man named Noah built a gigantic boat (an ark), which was used to house a couple of every animal species found on Earth. An ark as large as Noah's would have around 70% of the volume of the largest dam on Earth, Three Gorges, located in China, and is considered impossible to build even with current technology. The story of Noah has parallels in other ancient religious writings, including the Sumerian Ziusudra.
